Rotterdam Swim, 3.000 m.

The Rotterdam Swim is the largest open water swimming event in the Netherlands and participants from all over the world swim / fight each year against the waves on the fast flowing river Meuse around the Noordereiland in the city centre of Rotterdam, the largest artificial harbor in the world.

Royal Amstel Swim, 2.500 m.

The Royal Amstel Swim is the oldest open water swim of Europe and was held in 1841 for the first time. In 2010 the course of Royal Amstel Swim became a Unesco World Heritage Site and swimmers are allowed to swim once a year though the Amstel along the chanels, under 6 historical bridges and along many impressive buildings from the 16th – 21st century. The City of Amsterdam took its name from the river. The city developed out of a small fishing village in the 13th century alongside a dam at the mouth of the river.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the King Of The Rivers and the Olympic Games in London we organise for the first time in history an Olympic 10 km in the city centre of Amsterdam as final of the King Of The Rivers – Netherlands.

King Of The Rivers – Germany, Belgium and USA:
In 2013 we want to start a King Of The Rivers open water swim series in Germany and Belgium.
